Plan the bill / The full bill
Price the care, not just the headline.
Ask for a written quote that separates visits, medicine, tests, and delivery. Then ask what changes after any opening offer.
Cash prices and the refill deadline
As of September 26, 2026, the maker’s regular cash prices for tirzepatide (Zepbound) vials and the KwikPen ranged from $299 to $699 per month.
The KwikPen is a device for giving shots that holds several doses. The price depended on the strength written on the prescription.
The $449 offer covered strengths of 7.5 mg, 10 mg, 12.5 mg and 15 mg. The terms required the next refill purchase within 45 days after you received the previous supply.
Here, mg means milligrams, a measure of the amount of medicine. These are price categories; ask the prescriber which strength fits your care.
Before relying on the offer, ask the pharmacy whether it counts the order date, payment date, or another date for a completed refill.
In those terms, a month meant 28 days.
The offer terms gave December 31, 2026 as the end date; later prices need a fresh check.
These were medicine prices, rather than a quote for a whole care plan.
Keep different prices separate.
List price means the price published by the medicine’s maker. A cash offer is a price for paying outside insurance. With insurance, your own share of the bill depends on your plan.
A savings card from the medicine’s maker can lower what a person who qualifies pays. Its rules decide who can use it.
The lowest advertised amount may have eligibility rules or refill terms.
Ask which kind of price the quote uses and whether it covers the exact form being prescribed.
As of September 26, 2026, maker savings cards required commercial insurance and excluded Medicare, Medicaid, and military coverage.
That card restriction was different from paying the maker’s cash price outside insurance.
Put every charge on the same page.
- Is there a visit fee or an ongoing membership?
- Is medicine included, and which form does the price cover?
- Are tests and delivery included or charged separately?
- Does the price change after the opening offer?
- What are the renewal, cancellation, and refund terms?
Compare quotes that cover the same things. A bill covering visits and medicine is different from a price for medicine alone.
If a price depends on insurance, ask for the result of the coverage check before relying on that price.

A useful quote names the product, all charges, and the terms that change them.
